Our Terms Of Use

1. Purpose

The Children's Domestic Abuse Support Service (CDASS) provides support to children and young people aged 7 to 16 who have been affected by domestic abuse. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

2. Eligibility

CDASS services are available to children and young people within the age range of 7 to 16. Users must ensure that they meet this age requirement and that participation is voluntary.

3. Confidentiality

All communications with CDASS are confidential. However, if there is a risk of harm to the child or others, CDASS is obligated to report this information to the appropriate authorities.

4. Code of Conduct

Users are expected to treat all staff and peers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, racism or any form of violence—verbal or physical—will not be tolerated.

5. Boundaries

CDASS staff are trained professionals and will maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Participants should not seek personal relationships with staff outside of the support service context.

6. Participation

Participation in CDASS programmes is voluntary. Users may withdraw from services at any time without consequence. However, it is encouraged to discuss any concerns with staff before deciding to leave.

7. Disclaimer

CDASS provides support and resources but does not replace professional therapy or legal advice. Users are encouraged to seek additional assistance if needed.

8. Amendments

CDASS reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.

9. Acceptance

By engaging with CDASS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use.

10. Payment and Accessibility

CDASS offers free places for children and young people from families who are unemployed and can provide evidence of their situation. This free access is contingent upon available funding.

For those who do not qualify for free support, CDASS also offers services for a fee. The standard hourly rate will be communicated upfront, and parents or guardians wishing to access paid services can do so at their convenience.

We believe in making our services accessible to everyone and encouraging individuals to discuss their specific circumstances with our team.

For any questions or concerns, please contact CDASS directly at support@cdass.org.

Thank you for being a part of our CDASS community.
