Child Impact Awareness Training
The Child Impact Awareness Training Programme is an online group or one-to-one programme designed for mothers, carers, and professionals who want to better understand domestic abuse and its devastating effects on child victims.
The programme equips participants with the basic knowledge to identify the signs and symptoms of abuse, such as behavioural changes, emotional distress, and developmental challenges, which may often go unnoticed.
It also provides practical tools and strategies to effectively manage and reduce the impact of abuse on children, fostering a more supportive and nurturing environment for their recovery. Child Impact Awareness Talk
The NSPCC reports that 1 in 5 children are exposed to domestic abuse. The Child Impact Awareness Talk is a short school presentation, offered both online and in person, specifically designed for school students aged 7 to 16.
This engaging and age-appropriate talk educates students about the
effects of being exposed to domestic abuse, including its emotional, psychological, and social impact.
It also empowers young people by providing clear guidance on what to do and how to seek help if they or someone they know is experiencing abuse at home. By fostering awareness and encouraging open conversations, the talk aims to break the silence around domestic abuse and connect students with the support and resources they need to feel safe and supported.
